I just got done posting on my Pursuit to Prosperity group how I made a shift out of something that was not serving me.
It can be frustrating when you try everything to change a behavior and nothing sticks.
You want to lose those extra 10 lbs, but you still keep eating pasta, potatoes, sweets, drinking alcohol and pop.
Instead of the weight dropping off you end up piling more on.
The group is a place to hang where we focus on creating abundance and prosperity in our lives.
We have a challenge happening right now where you save the amount of money for the week we’re in. This week we’re expected to put away $17.00.
A while back I through in another challenge.
Save any additional money you spend on things you don’t need.
A lot of people in the group made reference to how hard it was to save money. Telling me they just didn’t have any extra money to put away. I had one woman quit the group telling me she felt so bad for not saving. She said she was having a hard time and there just wasn’t any money to save so she felt she had to leave. And yet, she buys cigarettes daily.
We always spend money on frivolous things.
Things we don’t need.
You want to smoke. You don’t need to.
You want to buy pop. You don’t need it.
I got to thinking. If we want things, why don’t we want to put money away?
Saving money helps. Buying cigarettes harms you.
I came up with this challenge, because I’m hooked on Kombucha again.
I spend $4.00 a week drinking these things.
I used to drink them daily, like people drink Starbucks.
And I quit for a long time. But a few months ago I started in again. So far I’m only drinking one a week. I justified them when I didn’t have enzymes with me to help digest the food I ate when I was out.
First mistake- Justification
The mind has a way of making you think you’re doing something good when in reality it’s not that good.
Make sure to clarify what you’re doing and why.
Smoking is not good for you.
Saving money is.
Do you need to smoke?
Some people would say they do because they are addicted.
I can honestly say after quitting…you don’t NEED to smoke. You want to.
In an effort to get me to stop buying Kombucha I challenged myself to put away that same amount in my savings stash. Now instead of spending just $4.00, it costs me $8.00. $4 for the product and $4 for my stash.
Justification- Yes, they are sort of healthy for you.
Depends on how you look at it. If you’re body is weak from illness and you’re drinking Kombucha because “they say it’s good for you,” it’s not that good.
Sure they have benefits.
Kombucha is a fermented drink made from black tea and sugar.
Fermented foods are good for some, but not all bodies. Vata bodies don’t do well with fermented foods where Pitta bodies will do just fine with them.
Their claim to fame is they help the digestive system delivering enzymes, detoxify the body and gives you energy.
Of course they give you energy. Even though there’s not “that much sugar” documented on the ingredient list, it’s made from sugar and turns into pure sugar in your system. As does, pasta, all grains really, potatoes and alcohol.
Sugar fuels a fungus known as Candida, linked to diabetes and now to Parkinsons and many other diseases like chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and an overgrowth of virus and bacterias.
Is Kombucha that great?? No, not in an unhealthy disease ridden body. There are better alternatives.
My dilemma- How do I get off the stuff now!!
Even charging myself an extra 4 bucks doesn’t seem to be working.
Justification- It only costs $4.00. Well, eight now. That’s not that much. I can afford it.
Truth- They add a lot of fat to my body from the sugar I’m consuming.
I finally made a real shift!
Using justification the RIGHT way.
Kombucha is not that great!! Now instead of Kombucha, I make celery juice drinking a full glass every day.
Celery juice is loaded with enzymes.
Delivering HCL- Hydrochloric Acid which helps the body digest food. The body normally makes this, but decreases as you age eliminating even more from overeating and eating the wrong kinds of foods, like sugar.
It’s loaded with electrolytes, a combination of minerals necessary for your heart to beat and your muscles to contract allowing you to move freely.
It has very little natural sugar and will not turn to sugar in the body.
It hydrates rather than dehydrates. Kombucha is carbonated. Carbonation of any kind, even carbonated water, actually dehydrates the body.
It’s considered a leafy green giving you all the necessary protein containing amino acids the body is after to keep it’s structure strong and healthy.
If you want to shift out of a bad behavior or action, the first step is to be real with yourself.
Justification is necessary for change to take place, just be honest with what you are telling yourself.
