Waking up to a sunshiny day is the best isn’t it? And then, the clouds come rolling in. Blahhhhh. Sad face 🙁 going on right now……after all the rain and cold we’ve been having I was so looking forward to the sun sticking around today.
Although, every day should have an excitement about it. That is if you allow it.
Every day, no matter what’s happening, is a new day, which should lend some excitement. However, what if you get off to a rocky start? It could be something like the kind of day you’d get after stubbing your toe right after you get out of bed……Or like my day, beautiful sun and then cloudy. I personally like rainy days, but when you need to be doing something outside it can set your mood to a new level of discomfort can’t it?
Even those days can be good days if you let them. It’s all placed in the anticipation of what you make of it.
TODAY, if you haven’t already incorporated a ritual of writing down at least five things you’re grateful for, this would be the time to start. You can’t feel bad about anything after you’ve acknowledged what your grateful for. It just doesn’t happen.
It’s so simple, but yet, sometimes so difficult to get to.
Like my being grateful for the weather being in the 50’s. Right now, I don’t care if it’s not sunny, it just feels so good to have a day above 30 degrees. See how it easy it is.
Now you try it…what are you grateful for?? Write your list in anticipation of making your day the best it can be. When you do this the best can come to you with a simple twist of something even better than you anticipated. 🙂
