It’s the simple things in life that make us the happiest.
How many times have we heard that??
But, it seems to be true. At least in my view point it is.
This morning as I took my bathrobe (my husband calls it my whooby blanket, since I’m so attached to it and in it often for long periods of time 🙂 out of the dryer and shouted with glee at how wonderful it felt, all snuggly warm and dry. I thought about how simple a process to make me smile and be happy.
And then, my brother-in-law popped into my head. I was thinking about how he’s so smart he’s actually quite dumb. Not to say this in a bad way, but I’m constantly amused and amazed at how he makes life so difficult because he’s always using his wisdom (thought process) instead of just looking at the simplest of things. I don’t think he knows how to look at life through simple glasses. It’s always about his book smarts. Not about what makes simple common sense.
Life doesn’t have to be that hard, it’s how you view it that makes it that way.
TODAY, put your simple glasses on. Take a few moments out of your day to stop and look around observing what’s making you happy or not. If you’re happy, continuing do more of it, and if you’re not then make some changes to enhance whatever the situation may be. It could be as simple as thinking of a few things that you’re grateful for. Or possibly taking a moment to breathe slowly to relax the tension inside you.
Put your book smarts back up on the shelf allowing you to look at life for the simplicity that it can grant you.
Your day will be eventful, putting a smile on your face, and as was my case, possibly a squeal of joy coming from your mouth, and it can cost you little or nothing to achieve. It doesn’t take money or status to look at life through simple glasses.
Pretty simple huh? <3
