Change is inevitable. Especially this year. Just look at how it works. We’re born. We change from being a baby to a toddler, to a young child, to a teenager, to a young adult and then on to more changes and this is just with ourselves. Add in the changes we make in our lives and there is nothing more to be said than change is probably the most important aspect that we’ll undergo in our lives.
I remember my ex-husband saying he changed all he was going to change and he’d not change anymore. And you know, he was right. He hadn’t budged from where he was when I left him. I just hope he’s not that sad, alone man that he looks like.
I, on the other hand, needed to go on and change everything about me. It was a huge undertaking these last 15 years and actually even before that. It was scary as hell and there were times I thought I would lose my mind, but somehow, by the grace of God and the angels I made it through to the person I am now. And par for the course I’m still changing. And it’s actually getting easier.
TODAY, let go of what you think everything should look like and let yourself change with the times that are in front of you. The real way to do this is to stop thinking about how your life should look to you and get more in touch with how you’d like your life to look. You don’t have to know today how to get to what you want it to look like. The first step is to just let yourself look at the possibilities of letting your life change. Don’t be like my ex and say there’s no room to change. Expecially since life is all about change. If you let yourself examine where you think you’d like to be, you never know, you could be like me and actually get there. But, of course, when you get there be ready to change again. It’s inevitable. 🙂
