Just one week ago it was in the 70’s, and the snow was nothing but a memory.
Mother Nature, has a way of playing cruel jokes on us at times. Or does she?? Is this a possible lesson to learn how to stay in a state of happiness no matter what’s going on in your life? I’m going out on a limb here and saying yes…..not because I think Mother Nature purposefully wants us to be in some sort of agony, but yet she has a way of bringing us back to the reality of what’s really important.
Weather will always be the weather. We cannot control it..or I should say we shouldn’t try to control it (another topic altogether). However, weather has a way of making us see what’s really real in our lives.
Just because it’s snowing in the middle of April is not a reason to mope around all day. When in fact it could be a day to stay inside, (which I plan to do) turn the heat back on, (which it is) and get some writing done. How convenient for me. 🙂 I’ve been having a problem working at my computer since it’s been so nice, I’m actually grateful for the weather today.
TODAY, if you haven’t begun the practice yet of writing down what you’re grateful for, start today by writing at least five things. Each and every time you look at what you’re grateful for, it can be instrumental in bringing a smile to your face even if it’s 28 and snowing, when it should be 60 and raining. After all, April showers bring May flowers.
Someone once told me the sky was the limit on happiness….I want to rephrase that. It’s the sky, the moon, the heavens above, and the Milky Way and beyond that you can achieve happiness. You just need to look for it, and by being grateful you get to see where it’s at.
