Many times we get so stuck on something in our lives because we’re unwilling to let go and move on.
Or, we just can’t.
Past incidents just keep playing out over and over.
Many times you’ll think you’ve released a bunch of stuff only to have it thrown back in your face as if it were happening right then that day all over again.
No matter what you try or what you do, you can’t seem to get past the things that keep you from enjoying life to the fullest.
In order for us to get to a place of happiness and harmony we must first make room for it.
You’ll need to let go of things that no longer work for you any longer.
Possibly over and over again.
Not realizing that each and every time you move your vibrational level (elevator floor) up a notch you’ll be opening that closet door to clean out even more clothes you’ve kept, thinking they were what you needed at the time.
Of course, this is a metaphor for thinking you’ve thrown out all of what you think you no longer need consisting of pain, anger, sadness, frustration, hurt and trauma that you’ve experienced over your lifetime. Only to find there are tidbits of it still remaining stored in your cellular memories that are not ready to go until you’ve reach a new level where you’re more able to access it.
You’re likely to keep information all bottled up because of the ego.
The ego is really the one in control.
It’s not supposed to be.
That’s the job for your heart and your higher self, but over time the ego has commanded that position thinking it’s keeping you safe.
While working with coaching clients, I describe it this way ….the ego will only give you what it knows or remembers. Nothing more. Not without awareness. In order for you to move in a new direction, you need to give it the awareness of where you want to go. But first, you’ll need to clean out your jar (body) of all the unwanted energies you’ve been keeping with you. I associate the body as a jar. Over the years you’ve been putting small stones and big rocks simulating information, events, and traumas, into this jar, and now, you’ve come to notice it’s so full there’s no room left for any goodness. It’s time for you to tip that jar cleaning it out. Let all of those pebbles return to where they came from mended and taken care of.
But….you can’t seem to do this, or at least not for long anyways.
You can’t seem to let your past go.
You’ve tried, and what you do helps for a little bit only to return making you feel as crappy as if it were that day, when that event happened.
The ego will continue to circle around to only what it knows until you give it the awareness that you’d like to discard those memories and move on for good.
But then, your ego can only let go of what is in the moment from the vibration level your in.
So there will indeed be more, slightly smaller pieces, left behind to surface another day when you’ve reached a new elevator floor.
To make permanent changes you need to make a new story telling the ego where you’d like it to go.
TODAY, if this scenario fits for you, the first action, costing you nothing, will be to take some time to write down what you’re grateful for.
Show the ego what you’re grateful for.
At least five things.
More would be better.
This action allows you to go to the ego in a state of loving.
When your grateful, for anything, you’ve now entered into a place in your heart where you’re able to access love, compassion, and forgiveness.
This place is the actual commander and chief of your body, not the ego.
Ego comes from a place of control, having to be correct, perfect, self-centered, envious and jealous. Only allowing you to go forward a couple of steps throwing you back three when it can’t see anything of a new concept.
It needs to be in control.
Although, with the heart, there is no control. It understands there is only love and compassion so you get more movement than you would entering from the side of ego.
After gratitude write down want you want in your life. The ego needs this knowledge to go forward. Just with this action alone, you could begin to move forward a few steps. Slowly, but surely you could begin to move. So, tell the story of all of what you want. Don’t limit yourself by an ego thought or challenge of not being able to obtain it. Just write down what comes from your heart on how you’d like to see your life.
After this step, get quiet.
Now ask yourself (your higher self) to show you what you need to release.
Breathe in deep long breaths sitting very still aligning yourself with your intuition (that gut feeling, that knowingness of what is).
Write down what comes.
Don’t second guess it.
You can trust it.
Your heart never lies.
Your ego, on the other hand, will give you information that is incorrect.
If you’re uncertain what is ego and what is heart, you can judge this by the action that starts to come.
If you’re in ego, nothing seems to transpire. It can feel really shitty is this place. You go nowhere. You make no new progress.
On the other hand, with the heart, there are synchronicities that start lining up allowing you to go forward with ease, and A LOT of enjoyment.
You have to trust what’s happening because you’re in a place within your heart.
That honest place within you that will give you what you need to do and know.
It’s actually what’s been coming to you all along. Although, you’ve not had the courage to act on it. You’ve been nagged about it through feelings and a knowing, but you’ve been too afraid to go in that direction. At least this is how it works for me. In all attempts to move in a forward direction, for me, I’ve known all along I should be going that way, but was too afraid to look in that direction because it seemed to extreme.
Your last step will be to take SOME action steps towards what has shown up. If you’ve been shown you need to get a new job, then get your resume ready. Start looking for new jobs.
Small steps bring significant results.
Remember the ego will throw you back ten steps if you go to fast while it’s gaining awareness to what you want.
Even if it’s scary at this moment take an action step towards it.
It’s only scary right now because the ego can’t see the result.
Although, the ego will calm down as it begins to see where you’re taking it.
After all, you’ve laid out a map, a guideline, of what your life will look like. If you’ve been successful in releasing information, you’ve made some room. The ego is not opposed to following as long as there is room to grow, and it knows what direction you’re taking it.
If you find yourself to impatient, not wanting to take small steps, add the Bach flower essence Impatiens to your routine. It will give you an insight to settle down allowing you to be patient, understanding that all good things come to those who can wait for everything to line up and transpire. 🙂
